Slow start, but big ending

Not gonna lie, I expected it to pick up sooner. The beginning felt slow, but as I kept reading, it became obvious why. A Court of Thorns and Roses is all about world-building and laying the groundwork for what explodes in book two. And trust me - it’s worth it.
